At the beginning

At last, after months of torture, we're gonna demonstrate the prototype for the "fake knee" tomorrow. This is pretty much how our meetings were like back in December:

The prototype was finally completed today. I was totally UN-involved in the manufacturing part. I did help out with the hundred-over-page-report (which I need to read through tonight) that we finished last Wednesday and it was sooo freakin' rushed. I never wanna go through it again.

As if that's not bad enough, I've got another presentation immediately after that. Mechanics Design and Heat & Mass back-to-back. Fantastic..

Right now, I've got the song "At The Beginning" from Anastasia stuck in my head and my ipod. Think it was one of the many songs we sang during Steph's birthday/ karaoke session.

The morning (afternoon) after..

After all the "egg"-tion (action) last night, I KO-ed til 12 noon. Woke up with a headache but decided to get on with the day. Loaded the washing maching with clothes... only to have Echo come into my room later to tell me the washing machine was leaking. Sure enough, the kitchen was flooded and there was water everywhere!!! So I took my stuff out and started mopping up the kitchen. An hour later, the kitchen floor is dry but I couldn't do anything bout the soaked carpet.

Damn the washing machine!!

Every single pair of jeans I own are now soaking wet.. what to wear to uni tomorrow ah??

Somemore I defrosted a box of chicken thighs last night. All three pieces were stuck together so I had no choice but to defrost all of them. It's not like I can eat all three by myself and I didn't want it to go bad by leaving it in the fridge. Since I'm coughing, I thought I'll make some chicken soup. I ended up making 2 different types..

Stressed lar.. one thousand and one things to think about and not enough time to do anything about all of it.. Where to stay next year? Maths test this Thursday. TWO presentations on Wednesday. Matlab report on Thursday? More report deadlines on Friday. Swan lake on Monday. Aaarrrghhh!! T_T

Voon Yuan's birthday BASH!!!

The day after Ben's birthday, Voon Yuan turned 20. Old liaw. First digit change liaw. Haha. I felt that way 3 months ago also.. Sighz.. Anyway, because I felt like it, I made a cheesecake for him. One of Steph Ong's friend made a cheesecake for her and it tasted so good I couldn't stop thinking about it. I searched for a recipe online and got it!!

Later that night, we went to Kappa for dinner. We had this huge master plan to bash up Voon Yuan on the way back. We even got Li Feng and Khai Ming from Flat 1 to help us out with water and eggs. I just loved the fact that Steph Yen, Wen-Jei and I had eggs, flour, custard and whipped cream in our handbags throughout the entire dinner, just waiting for the moment we could hand them out =D

The afterparty

After dinner ended.. Paul went home like a good boy =) We actually bought Hummingbird (again!) cupcakes for Ben and Paul to share. Since Paul left first, he took the entire box.. Hehe.. And Ben had to settle with a bunch of people trying to get him drunk.

Ben and Paul's joint celebration

Ben turned 21 last Friday and Paul's gonna turn 21 this coming Wednesday. We had this huge dinner at Four Seasons on Friday. 15 people came!! Dinner was planned for 6.30pm but we told people around 6pm because.. well.. Malaysian timing and all that. 

Funny thing was.. Shi Lin and I left Earl's Court with plenty of time to reach Leceister Square. Mana tahu.. at Knightsbridge, we realised we forgot to bring the birthday cake!! OMG!! It was 7pm by the time we reached the restaurant and surprise, surprise, they just finished ordering!

London Fashion Week

From my very first year in Imperial, I have seen London Fashion Week come and go in front of the Natural History Museum. When my friends invited me to go, I thought why not?? Even if I don't buy anything, at least I get to experience it..

As it was, I didn't buy much. Bought a few shirts just for the sake of it, of which one couldn't fit (because I didn't bother trying it) so I gave that one away. And my friend gave me one skirt which couldn't fit her (she didn't try it either). 

The catwalk was pretty cool..

These days, I find myself stressing over what to eat.. or what NOT to eat... bleh. I went to develop photos yesterday and opposite the shop was Hummingbird Bakery. How could I resist??
