Joon Hui's 21st

Joon Hui's birthday was exactly a week ago but I'm only getting round to posting the photos now.. I haven't seen Joon Hui since Form 5 ended.. practically dinosaur AGES ago..

This was kinda at the end of the meal already..

A little dark.. I blame the camera.

Haven't seen Thai Hui since... Concord??

Thai Hui and Kim have not changed since Lodge =)

Neither have these two..

Clearer picture of Yichieh and Lionel..

Mount Santubong and Damai

Day 1: Wake up at 6.30am. Do some last minute packing. Wait for Lionel to arrive at 7.30am.

Our gracious driver... Dopey..

Feng, Yichieh, Lionel, Calvin, Bernie and Shih Yang.

Shih Yang and Bernie at the mini waterfall.

Glorious food!

The most important drink EVER!!

Kevin didn't climb; Shaun turned back; The rest of us parted ways at the fork between Santubong peak and Bukit Putri. Shih Yang, Bernie and Lionel took the 45 minutes trail to Bukit Putri while Feng, Lionel, Calvin and I took the 3 hour trek to Santubong peak!

Success!!

View from the peak.

Evil monkey which stalked us up AND down!!

See what we had to go through!!

2 cans per person upon reaching the base.. *dies*

Bashful

Happy

Sleepy

Day 2: Bodyache, eat, sleep, play on the beach. Unfortunately, Yichieh left and Gabriel took her place. More drinking at night.

Like, yo!

Same people, same pose.

You can't tell but Shih Yang and Bernie are under Lionel and Shaun.

Day 3: Back to Kuching and that's the end of that. Hope I got the names of all the 7 dwarfs correct.. =P

I passed! I passed! I passed!

Omg.. I can't believe I passed.. Just got back from Damai yesterday (I'll get back to this later) and I'm dead tired. Just checked my email earlier on and there's this one email from Martin Holloway titled "Results" and another one with "Results link". I was sooo freakin' scared!! I was expecting to resit at least one paper.. I was expecting to fail!!

Dear Melissa Ying

Congratulations, you have passed the year and now progress to the next year of the degree course.

Your actual marks should be available in a week or two from Student Self-service.
Registry will contact you when the results are ready.

That's what the email said... Now that the high is over.. I'm gonna face reality and remember that I hate every single part of my course.. and that I probably passed by the tips of my fingers. =(

Pre-Lake District

Am supposed to be going to Lake District today. Train at 10.30am. It's 5am now. I need to pack. More importantly, I need to sleep.. Bleh.. Bernie came over again later on last night to borrow my sleeping bag since he's going to Oxford and Reading to visit Amy and Joanne. I bought Ben's cookies for him to try. Talk about overeating..

Anyway, I'm supposed to pack for the LD trip but.. I got a bit distracted. Well.. not really la.. I had to fold my laundry before I could pack so...

All my neatly folded clothes which I have yet to put away.

THEN I got distracted.. I packed up my books and notes which I plan to store... tidied the dining area up a bit... and sorted out the recyclables..

Loads of paper, glass bottles, Red Bull cans, plastic bottles and old clothes..

And I'm still not yet packed for Lake District. Gonna be doing a lot of hiking and stuff.. And it's supposed to be cold.. My whole body still aches from playing badminton on Wednesday and I'm gonna go hiking. Fantastic. I'll be lucky to get back alive.. On the bright side, I'm missing lab today!! =)

Bernie in London... again!! =)

Seems I become a tourist everytime Berps comes to London.. It's good in a way that I would never bother to see parts of London that are usually out of my way.. Worse part was travelling yet again because of the tube strike.

We actually had lunch at Abeno Too before walking to Trafalgar Square and on to the river.

Bernie's idea to take this photo.

The oracle knows all..

Some of the street performers by the riverside were actually quite cool..

Some weird Dali sculpture.

My face sooo round!!! T_T

More Dali stuff..

Can you spot Bernie's head? He insisted I took the entire building so I did..

Then we had Haagan Daaz after a really, really long walk. Caramel cream and biscuit, strawberry cheesecake, chocolate midnight cookie, macadamian nut brittle, waffle and strawberries!! Yum! No wonder la.. face getting rounder and rounder!!

Then I had to face the trouble of getting back to Earl's Court. Stupid, tulan, pms bus driver.. first he show sour face. Then he complain someone keeps pressing the bell. THEN he terminated the bus at freaking Hyde Park! Had to take no. 52 to High Street Kensington and walked back... Strike should be over by now thank goodness..

Oliver, Oliver..

Exams have come and gone... Oh, how I dread the thought of resits.. For now, I'm just enjoying what little time I have left in London. Boy, I'm so not gonna miss this place when I go back to Kuching. 10 more days till I fly back! Yay!

So... been quite busy lately.. I actually had to write down what I was gonna do each day otherwise I'll lose track and forget what I've done and what I've yet to do.. Basically, I've been going to the gym but.. eating out alot too.. hehe.. am still not cooking due to the previous disaster.

Best of all, I went to watch another musical!! Oliver!! I saw Rowan Atkinson acting as Fagin!! It was hell getting to the theatre because of the tube strike. Made it with 10 minutes to spare!!

I thought the theatre was really grand.. I got away with only two photos before being told off not to take any pictures in the theatre..

Rowan Atkinson was really funny and all but my 2 fav songs don't include the ones he sang.. This song was in the second half.. and I really, really like it..

This one was actually earlier on in the first half.. it was a pretty cute song ^^

Mmmm.. I love musicals and all the theatre stuff.. my parents will kill me if/ when they find out how many I've watched already this year.. but I swear, I have a good reason to watch every single one of them.. my excuse for Oliver being that I just had to see Rowan Atkinson..
