CNY goodies!!

Before I call it a night.. Here's some of the stuff my friends and I baked for CNY:

Michael taking photo of our peanut cookies.. the dark ones were made in the first round while the lighter ones were from the second round. Strangely enough, people seemed to like the slightly blackened ones though.

Pineapple tarts fresh from the oven.. couldn't fit enough jam into the tarts and the tarts kept tearing.. turned out so so lar.. no match for the stuff my mom bought from Aloha bakery back home..

Top: crispy white thingy with pork floss in it and fried ikan bilis.
Bottom: sunflower seed cookies, peanut cookies and pineapple tarts.

Kuih kapit

Bak-kua and pork floss also got.

No wonder la.. when I went to the gym on Wednesday, every step I jogged, every stomach crunch I did... I could feel every single cookie I ate through out the week.. tsk tsk... =S

You are not alone...

As expected, I fell asleep like the dead in class only to have Voon Yuan hit my head countless times like it was a drum or something.. still.. things looked up during the Maths study group at the end of the day. Muahahaha... Looks to me I'm not the only who mastered the art of sleeping in class!! Introducing.. Ken!!!

Screw sleep

That's right.. screw sleep.. with less than 5 hours til the Solid Mechanics lecture, there ain't no point in sleeping anymore is there.. coz if I do sleep, I'm so not gonna get up in time.. I've been snoozing the alarm all week. Scratch that. My alarm doesn't have the snooze function. That means I've been turning off my alarm and oversleeping all week! This will have to keep me awake in class:

Somehow, I think things are gonna take a turn in this direction:

Back from the dead

Ok.. I've decided to bring my blog "back from the dead" as the title says..

It's almost 3am now and I'm not asleep. I've screwed up my feeding and sleeping times. I can't do the calculations for my damn-ed project. There's some Maths test coming up soon. I'm sleeping in lectures. I'm going crazy... EMO

On a brighter note, Bernie's in London and we're gonna go out and have fun this weekend!! Visit the markets, do some visiting, CNY festivities on Sunday, maybe a musical =) Yay!! Yet another Lodgian reunion!!

Just because I have this sudden inspiration to blog... I just feel like mentioning a bunch of quotes I came across:

"We do not remember days, we remember moments. The richness of life lies in memories we have forgotten." - Cesare Pavese, Italian poet.

"When a man is tired of London, he is tired of life; for there is in London all that life can afford." - Samuel Johnson, he wrote a freakin' dictionary of the English language!!

"Hold a true friend with both hands." - Nigerian proverb.

The first one, I came across randomly.. the second and third, I read in books. And just for the fun of it, here's a fourth:

"To know the light, you must see the dark." - So obviously from Star Wars!!
